Maybe it was when White had almost died from that stab wound. He’d been stricken with fear like it was disease then.
But now, this fear wasn’t horrified. It didn’t leave his insides feeling like they were being ripped up.

It was an astounded fear. He was in awe. This person, this nut job with a cow’s skull on like some mask, had just done in less than ten seconds what he hadn’t been able to accomplish in months.
